#11 Fred – Smashed Knee (NI)
#11 Fred – Broken Ribs (MNG)
A strong start wasn't good enough on the day for the (aptly named) No Hopers, who were in the shadow of the Dwarfs right from the off.

Except the first 4 turns, in which the No Hopers looked to be in with a shot, until a Hobgoblin with too much ambition tripped and fell going for it.

After that it was very one-sided, with the Karak-Azgal Strike Force proving a real Tour De Force.

So congratulations in order for the victors, and I wish Thunderhammer and his roving band of Dwarfs all the best in the remaining rounds of the King KO.

Cheers Thunderhammer, for being a great sport and for a great game.

A great game against our dark Brethern.

Captain Earthbreaker stressed the importance of showing our fallen brothers true team spirit and strength through coorporation and honor.

Especially Tari the Slayer really proved his mettle, manhandling both the opposing monstrousities known among the dark men as Bull Centaurs.

After a bad start, it didn't look well for the Strike Force, and they were down two men, but they refused to give up. After an overconfident Hobgoblin ran for it, he lost the ball and the dwarves were quick to capitalize on it. Grimlode ran it home, while the rest of the team guarded it. Tornat took one for the team, earning himself a concussion while trying to dodge away to protect the ball carrier. Team spirit is the way to go! That's exactly what Captain Earthbreaker briefed them about in half-time.

The second half went much better, with our brave warriors mauling the dark dwarves and apart from losing posession of the ball once, managed to retake it. Young Battlecrusher caught the ball in an incredible display of longbearded agility, and due to respect for his feat, the rest of the team allowed him to score :)

We really showed them dark dwarves how to play straight, and one of the foul men ran down from the spectator stands, shaved off his beard right away to seek repentence among our kind again. He was accepted, and will now assist Tari in hunting down the foul beasts he used to live amongst. That would be needed, since rumours have it that we'll be facing off the unliving soon.

When all is said and done, I'd like to praise rik0054 for his good sportsmanship. It was a pleasure to play against him, and the game was fought in good spirit, even when the dice went against us ;)

Cheers for a great game, and good luck in the next KO tourney ;)
