Elves got the ball and we pressured them to score early. Then, slow slow Khemri struggled to get the ball across the halfway line, with all that elf harassment. At least the squirrel was KO'd.

Second half, we took Akhorne out permanently, and then tried to march down the pitch, but it was a slow hard grind, with elves getting in the way and me forgetting how to position players. A scary double rush to score in the 7th turn left the elves with two turns to score.

Perfect Defence! Great, I can stuff up their play. Except... touchback! Elf blitzer gets the ball, tries to blitz out to glory. Rolls a push and a both down. Either way means a 3+ dodge or worse to get down field. He falls down, the Pirates roar with glee, and then get asked why they're celebrating not losing, rather than a win. But they're too dumb to know the difference.

Great game. Dirty, terrible dice for the elves in both halves, but it still ended up being about positioning and not just numbers. Phew.”
