The first turn saw an SI for my Mino, apoth gone, and a foul BH'd my troll. things looked mighty bleak. Concentrating on his gobbos paid off nicely with 2 SI and a BH in the first half, even if it cost a few turnovers. After a few fumbles we looked to have 2 gobbos clear but a missed short pass meant the half ended at 0-0.
Second half and it no longer mattered who kicked and who recieved as an attack of the stupids meant no one was doing much. My 2 remaining gobbos streaked down the pitch and his ogre was unable to roll a pow without a skull, while my gobbos armour held up better than either of us expected.
The last few turns saw the game fizzle out, but as an antidote to 'I must win at all costs with my precious, precious team' the WPC still can't be beaten.
“Here Be Ye Match Report For Ye first Game Played In Ye Wild Pact Challange! Ye....
It looked good from the start for the Hunger Strikers, taking the opposing Troll out to the BH box in the first turn, but the ball was deep in the opposing half, and well protercted by goblins.
as the rest of the side rumbled up the pitch, the gobbos tried to make a run for it, but a faield pass allowed the minotaur to KO the running goblin, and then pick up the ball!
it was too late in the half for the minotaur to make a running TD, so it was decided to try and go for the Troll-Minotaur set play, and an extra 50 points! The Mino first tried to hand off directly to the troll, but this failed, next turn, troll moved, managed to pick up ,ball, went for the short pass, and missed completly....
second half, all my goblins were injured, so had no players above AG2, not a problen, my ogre made a suprisingly good backstop, jumping onto ball carring goblins almost every turn, but these goblins appeared to have super powers, as the ball appeared to protect them from injury, as soon as they lost the ball, goblins piled up in the KO box, but when carring it, they just sunk into the mud...
after some good defending, Oh God Not Again finally score in turn 4, after that, three set up on line of scrummage, as 4 out of the 5 remaining big guys failed their teats to do anything, only the hunger strikers ogre could overcome his stupidity to push a goblin around a bit
the game ended, 1-0 to Oh God Not Again, and only 40000 winnings for us, we would be a man down next match, but we wouldnt let that get us down...Hunger Strikers will show what we can do”
