“Oh what a great game! I was balancing on the verge of a catastrophic failure all the time. My success in this game can be put nailed down to two words: Raphael and Selaphiel. Raphael for being a Wardancer with all the right skills right now, Strip Ball is quickly becoming one of my favourites. He managed to blitz and take down/Strip Ball and recover the ball from his runners _every_ time. Selaphiel for being a fun-to-play-with catcher who employs Pass Block, as my first game with the skill I can see the great uses for it when it comes to countering the “cowardly thrower” who just sits back in ones own backfield (I do it all the time =D ). Elves even stand a chance of getting that ball. 5+ with RR for catch, well that’s a nice 56% chance to snatch that ball from the air.
As for actual events during the game I really don’t remember that much. I was trying to control my self, since I was so nervous that he would totally kill the team. He sure had that mad-blood look in his eyes. One after another I saw my expensive elves got to the SI and BH box. When he SI:ed (mng) Uriel, I had to apoth him even though I didn’t suffer any permanents. Without the tree I saw everything as more or less lost, he held up all those Flesh Golems and a few zombies the whole game. When I come to think about it I really should add Uriel to my success list above.
Oh and Geburah, my rookie Catcher with a fresh broken neck is now promoted to water-boy. ”
