“It's a stunty sort of day. Nuffle deemed Halflings vs Ogres a good idea, and we did our best to please Nuffle today. We noticed the stadium promoter gave us more than we expected in our inducement sack, so we were pretty sure someone who wasn't us had hired a bomber. We thought those wily Halflings had a choice between a Cindy bomber or a Dribblesnot, 'cause we did... and we all know a Dribblesnot is better, so figured we'd shortcut their bomber game by paying the tricksy Dribblesnot union to not show up. Turns out Dribblesnot doesn't work for halflings, and that just meant we had a bomber showdown on the pitch. Emphasis on show.

An early casualty saw the snotling Adam Zidar taken from the field on a serving dish in the opening seconds of the game from a block from the terrifying treeman, Charlotte Sean. But both bombers were on the field, and Cindy took Dribblesnot down with her first peach cobbler. Demoralized, the Eclectic Tastes just couldn't get it together as they bumbled around the field to respond. Turn two however, Cindy took herself out with an over-baked apple turnover which simply exploded in her hands... the hot sticky residue making it impossible for her to return to the field for the rest of the game. Dribblesnot repeated that performance himself, but fortunately his projectiles are not nearly as sticky, so he didn't leave the field.

The first half collapsed for the BT7 Flings from that point, as both Treemen took root and Ogres descended on the halfling's position. Dribblesnot cleared the defenders from the ball carrier, then lobbed a bomb underhanded to that terrifying Charlotte Sean... which then took her out of the rest of the game and the next one, clearing the way for the Ogres to scoop up the ball and score. So surprised by the turn of the events, the ref forgot to call Dribblesnot out for having bombs on the field, so he was permitted to return for the second half.

Dribblesnot was less impressive in the second half taking a few halflings off the field... but nothing decisive. Instead, the second half was a display of little meaty missiles fired one after another by the remaining treeman, Bryson Gosselyn. Fortunately this removed a fair number of halflings from play as the ogre ball carrier dodged the missiles into the endzone.

All and all, the fans got what the paid for, and we hope Nuffle was pleased. We retired to the Lonely Hart Inn after for libations and heavy vittles all around.
