I was right when I was against merging GF + Box for Competitive games, especially considering there is no Season Re-Draft.
System is not rigged, just it lacks the Season Re-Draft, which is an official rule, not an opinion. Without Season Re-Draft Vampires are a better team than they should be. GF allows easy farming (try to play Vampires only in the Box, they will not develop as much) while no Re-Draft allows to keep the farmed Vampires for a longer time. When I was concerned about the possibility to face teams farmed in GF then activated in the Box the reply was that Season Re-Draft would have kept them in check, but Season Re-Draft has not been implemented yet, hence the problem.
The Thrall with MB was not game-changer. The Vampires with 3 skills and +MA were game-changers.
About my own Box Vampires: I have no BB2020 Box Vampires. My own Box Vampires are from old ruleset, so they can't be used to make a comparison with your Vampire team. Old level up system was different and there was MVP nomination.
Also, my old Vampires had worse Hypnotic Gaze and Pro skills compared to BB2020 versions. My Vampires could not use multiple rrs per turn and Blood Lust was worse.
That said, if you think that playing only in the Box makes no difference to develop a Vampire team, then I wonder why you played most of your games with the GF.
This 4 year old is higher ranked than you playing mostly in the Box (so, without picking involved).”
