“A curious game, Matt doing what Matt does and winning games come what may.
First half rats received, elves backed off and allowed the turn 8 score, hoping for a 1TTD to level things up which duly happened. 1-1.
Second half and the heat meant rats had superior numbers and should have made it count. Elf thrower was sacked, but the ball was recovered and a catcher potato'd his way downfield. He too was sacked, but got up again to grab the ball and score. Nevertheless, rats now had plenty of time to make it 2-2. This should have happened, but for an outrageous sack by star WD on a seemingly well protected gutter. The crowd got involved and chucked it out of range, and game over.
A 2-1 defeat and we're back to the drawing board to work out where it all went wrong.
