“Humans "cheated" by taking Zug. But that still left the skaven overdogs by 1380 - 1170TV.
Skaven 6 block + 1 wrestle vs 2 block.
I would have preferred block on the Rat Ogre than Juggernaut + stand firm. It could have saved his life. ;)
Juggernaut + stand firm are good for the crowd push. But at lower TV many opponents won't have block
Human T1 The humans line everyone up on the line and push the skaven front three along the line and back until they go down.
Skaven T1 Set up their defence 3 rows too far back.
H T2 Humans are now already two squares closer to the endzone than they need to be without having to fight for the ground.
S T2 ROgre attempts to disrupt the cage. But he has no support, That might often work, but here Zug is just as big and is tougher than him.
Skaven roll a lot of dice to send the gutter to support him.
I think that they'd have been better off just remaining behind the ball and preventing the human advance. Blitz some easy target that will not get them into trouble.
Ideally, the humans would still be 2 or 3 squares further back and skaven could be patient and try to frustrate them.
H T3 Zug easily takes down the ROgre. Though, Ripley or others could also have done it. Ripley deals with the gutter and ball carrier slips away to safty.
For sure, we have to foul the ROgre and he's off the field.
S T3 Skaven, two players down could still maintain their defensive "columns" but opt to base-up. But there is a clear escape route to the right.
H T4 Ripley frees up the ball carrier who escapes to the right to cage up another two squares forward.
S T4 Base up again
H T5 Free up the BC again, injuring a player.
S T5 Bold -2D attack by the gutter comes off
H T6 Humams are set back but remove another player. They are maybe a bit conservative and and could have got a bit further forward.
S T6 2 successful 1Ds tie up the BC again.
H T7 Humans should be able to free up the BC again without a dodge but they bodge it. They end up dodging and going for glory.
S T8 2 turns remain with 4 gutters on the field but no RRs. The set up is not aggressive enough IMO. They need to be able to get gutters into the back field to go in 1-1 at the half.
The first block pushes a player into the centre which block the midfield. Now no one can get down the field without rolling dice. There needs to be at least two, assuming that one will be blitzed. the humans cannot score so it's all or nothing.
With No RRs & no sure hands, it may have been better to cover the ball and run another gutter through before trying to pick it up. Playing the odds.
H T8 Cover tha ball. Take down the gutter and kick him to ensure that he can't make it to the end zone even if Nuffle is with him.
S T8 Crowe stands his ground and sends the ROgre the hell! Nuffle is harsh.
2nd half
Blitz appears to kill the game but not quite.
One gutter is down. But...
2D block on Ferro frees up the two line gutters. Pick up, hand off and they're off to the races.
2D to take down Vasquez and some sharp dodging could tie up Ripley.
Two KO players hopefully to come back and it ain't over. ”
