If you asked me to describe this game in 6 words, I'd go with "A foul-fuelled ballet of death".
Something very different about playing in a KO competition is the fact you can see who the opposition will be ahead of time, which means you can actually have a gameplan if you want to! Looking at the very strong Human team I was facing, I felt like they had a physical edge, so the mission was to get on top and stay on top as quickly as possible.
Thanks to a gutter runner with Sneaky Git and Dirty Player, the plan went very well! I made a couple early mistakes including a wasted blitz, but in succesive turns I was downing and fouling blitzers to get them out of the game. Once the humans' Ogre was dispatched in the same way, the stage was set for a complete bloodbath. The Internationals were forced to score quickly in the first half thanks to their depleting numbers, allowing me to draw level before the half and keep fouling left, right, and centre to give a huge numbers advantage into the 2nd half.
I got very lucky that the SG/DP gutter runner never got sent off - if that had happened with the first or second casualty it could have been a different game. But with the fouling expert on the pitch, the 2nd half let to multiple touchdowns as the humans just tried bravely to stay alive!
