“In an unsettling twist, the Eldrich Masters of Time and Space have realized that there exists an even more eldrich (eldricher?) force that is proving the master of the masters. What, you ask, could possibly be more powerful than the Great Elder Gods of the Universe? Answer: THE NUMBER ONE - MWAHAHA!
Another game that I probably could have won, barring the usual barrage of ones. Today it was on GFIs more than dodges, but still. Things are starting to look up, though. For a change, my overall luck was not abysmal (though not great), and was actually marginally better than Longinus' . The FF went up again, but was compensated by a low income. Evidently the Elder Thing planters were not good enough. I think we are going to move from merchendising kitch to serious (but family priced) religious artifacts. Dagon carvings, Cthulhu statues, a He who should not be Named sacrificial knife, etc. We'll see how it goes.
I really want to buy a Witch Elf, but probably should invest in rerolls for a while. At least this game I managed to advance Elder Thing II to experienced level, and Cthonian to Veteran. Tsathoggua had a good game, featuring an interception that allowed Elder Thing to get his TD and skill advance, and for some reason Yog Sothoth got the MVP, bringing him only 6 spps from Stardom. The unsung hero of the match was Nyarlathotep, who was a constant thorn in the Luck Ladz' side, though he managed to miss getting any SPPs.
Longinus is a good coach, who had about the same luck as I did - the game was pretty evenly matched, and could have gone either way. I would definitely play him again, as he was fair, fun, and pleasant.
