Second win of the season for us, but again, not without very successful removals combined with poor dice by my opponent. We did lose the Troll turn 1, which seemed like it would be a huge swing, but we managed to get his Demon on the ground and surrounded and were able to Sneaky Git him to bring it even on big guys. Fouling was very effective throughout the match. The frenzy mechanic combined with all the S4 and guard on my team seemed to be very problematic for the Khorne team block. KO recoveries at half were also huge. I got my 2 back and I believe he had to keep 3 or 4 on the bench. Taking the field with that numbers disadvantage made my final drive basically inevitable. Was able to get it into the hands of Black Orc and roll it in.
Tactical Takeaways:
- When prompted to use grab with a potential chain push, if you say no, it will block it as if the player did not have grab and you'll chain push as usual. If you say yes, you can ignore the chain push, but you will only be able to put the player in the open squares.
- Ended up chasing a player of his off the field with a black orc, but I'm not actually sure that it was an advantageous strategy. I need to be sure of what the player was because I think if you're tangling up a valuable player of his away from the action you may be in good shape, but if you're off chasing a random lino, he just traded up in the "removal" area. ”
