The Dogma came very, very close to missing out on another 1-0 win in this game, thanks to some high-risk play by the RSCs.
Having snuffed out the RSCs strangely tentative offensive in the first half, the Dogma missed out on taking a first half lead when Werner Ulfsson, in his first game, failed a (rerolled) GFI, in an attempt to get assists on the Rat Ogre, who had riskily dodged and blitzed Scragg McDagg, the Ghoul with the ball (only managing a pushback) the turn before. With one turn after that, nobody was in range to score.

The Dogma's second half offensive was briefly resisted, as an over-loose cage allowed the RSCs to pressure and eventually win the ball from the Olaf the Black, only for the Skaven thrower who won the ball to fall over dodging. The Dogma retrieved the ball and ran it in mid-way through the second half.

The RSCs last offensive nearly came off more to luck than anything else, with a Gutter Runner falling over on a GFI with the endzone in sight, having pulled off a catch and a series of dodges through TZs. The sweeping Werner Ulfsson scooped up the ball, ignoring the prone rat, but a dodging Storm Vermin somehow managed to wriggle free, again through a number of TZs, to blitz the surprised Werewolf, scoop up the ball and sprint a few more step towards the endzone. With only one man (or rather, wolf) back for the Necros, lying prone at the Gutter Runner's feet, a tie looked a certainty. However, Pax Grimoire cannily moved into position to assist the forthcoming frenzy blitz, Scragg McDagg man-marked the Gutter Runner, and the debutant Werewolf managed to dodge, almost falling, and nail his man on the second block, the ball scattering at the feet of the Ghoul and Gutter Runner. Disparate Dave and two zombies GFIed to guard the ball, one of the zombie falling in the process, but the pressure was enough to prevent the Gutter Runner picking up in the last turn of the match, to give Heinous Dogma a deserved victory.

I believe fredde_e's uncertain offensive play, which seemed to bear more resemblance to caging than the usual penetrating Skaven running play, combined with his wastefulness with rerolls on one dice blocks, combined with some average luck, cost him a result. On the other hand, the risky stunts he pulled seemed to mostly come off - what you gain on the swings, you lose on the roundabouts. A bit of work on his tactics will reap dividends.
