Tactical Takeaways:

Don't Let the Monster Kill You - I did everything I could to eliminate that yeti. He tripped on a rush early in the game and we gang fouled at least 3 times with multiple assists, but couldn't manage to get a removal. I believe that that is the strength of dirty player if I can get the sneaky git leveled enough to do that. At the moment he typically is not the one carrying the ball and instead is in the mix of the scrum somewhere. He was also a blodger which meant that getting him down at all was very tough. Very luckily for us, he didn't end up doing that much damage and I believe part of that is because he was so tied up often with stuns. So even though the removal never happened, I'd say that fouling did it's job just simply by eliminating him from the game.

Endless Block, Guard, and Dodge - I was convinced we wouldn't have a chance after seeing the skills because of how well leveled his players were, but a few things worked in our favor. Number one: lucky pows on blodgers. Also he committed heavily to the scrum and I believe that gave our guard, grab, and fouling an advantage. This combined with removals ended up turning the tide eventually. Once we had numbers, we could surround them and force bad blocks.

Fouling with the Carrier as a Assist - I am unsure if this is a sound tactic, but it has been working for me. I watched a replay of a top player and he was doing it, so I've been giving it a go. I believe the key is you have to be extremely confident that you're getting a stun. If you can get the player to a 6+ roll on armor I believe that is it. In the case of the yeti who would normally be armor 10+, you'd need 4 assists, which we often had. I'll have to review the numbers, but it makes sense at the moment, and has been an effective way to progress the cage.

Time - Have to play faster. Had at least 3 turns go to time.
