1. Two Heads, Block, Dodge Gutter Runners / Claw, Mighty Blow, Juggernaut Rogre
Just something to outright avoid as low TV Black Orcs in a match making setting if I have the choice. We simply don't have the skills to deal with a player like that. We did manage to get him down with lucky Pows, but in all reality that player could've done whatever they wanted at any time. Troll vomit would've been the only off hand chance of getting it down.
Same for the Rogre to some extent, but less so. We were able to deal with the Rogre with fouling, but again, that skill stack is just devastating.
There are critics against using matched play on gamefinder, and I understand it from the perspective of players looking for more easily won matches, but I believe I prefer match maker in many ways because I can match up with a team and player that I feel I have a chance of being competitive with - especially as a newer player. It's generally painted in the light of players chasing easy wins, but I believe there are some games worth avoiding. I would say that essentially rookie Black Orcs against a well skill stacked UW isn't the kind of game I'm interested in playing in the future - at least if I'm planning on being competitive
2. Troll Really Stupid
Had a moment early in my first drive where we had a decent cage, and I made the decision to block with the troll when if I had asked the question "If this troll goes stupid does it compromise my position?" I would not have made the block because it did. I shouldn't have made the block and left the cage more secure. It resulted in a more accessible route for the super GR to get in and do what he does.
3. Planning For the Blitz Against Defensive Alignments of UW
I thought I was going to get a shot on the Rogre after set-ups, but I didn't realize that the swarming players are added after set ups. This made that plan impossible, and we were left with a troll in an odd position because of my intention of blitzing with him.
4. Goblins and Snotlings Can Do Wild Things
This is especially true of snotlings, but also goblins. My goblins, and his both consistently dodged all over the place into and out of places that didn't make any sense. The snotlings this is especially true 2+ anywhere makes it very difficult to plan any kind of clear pathing. I believe you really just have to hope you remove them when you get a chance. Statistically, you should, but that wasn't the case for us today.
5. Hopeful Carrier Dead
Had our carrier taken down at some point and with a niggling injury that means it is over. The guy had 13 SPP and such a bright carrier ahead at that hopeful Ag Stat increase. Now we start over and our next guy is at 3 SPP.
