Decent cage to start the drive. Started our turn 2 with the cage marked in multiple places, but had 4 2D blocks to clear it. Managed a casualty, got pushes everywhere else and 1/9'd a block that I had to re-roll. Had another 2D block with the troll on a corner that I was unsure of. Took it, and the troll went stupid. Hindsight, I don't know that the block was necessary, but because of all the pushes he had a pretty easy 2D block on the troll with a Black Orc. After the failed stupid the question was in using the re-roll to try and save him. I tried, and failed again. Keeping the troll up was very important. Probably better to have just left him there and let the Black Orc take the 2D block.
2. 2D on the Ball Following the Scrum
We had a chance at his carrier our turn 7, and I chose to push him a certain way which would allow a pretty easy blitz out. I believe I should've just pushed him back with the Black Orc and tried to screen off with the goblins. He could've blitzed the black orc off pretty easily, but he still would've had to deal with the goblins after the fact, and having used his blitz already that would've been a challenge.
3. -2D Stunty vs. Side Cage
Very cool to get it when it happens, but we managed the side cage surf with the stunty goblin, and it kept us in the 2nd half.
4. Fouling Ineffective
Really poor armor rolls while fouling throughout the game, and even when heavily assisted we couldn't manage to do much damage. We had our shots though, and tactically I think we fouled efficiently - nearly all needed 7+ rolls. Biggest one came when we marked a downed a lineman with our carrier and went for 6+ foul on him, and couldn't get it. Led to an eventual 1D block that lost us the ball. I would do it again - about a 75% chance of success, but couldn't get it and punished because of it. I think as Black Orcs that's what you're all about, so we have take those chances when we get them.
3. Black Orcs vs Orcs Match Up
Orcs are definitely the better team, but I think Black Orcs create a unique challenge where we out strength them. It forces 1D blocks at times which is to our advantage. The speed of the blitzers, plus block is very effective against us. The ability to pick up the ball with sure hands also a big deal. If the Black Orcs don't run into many 1/9s the Orcs will have a rough day. ”
