1. Casualty Overrun
Most common injury roll number by my opponent was 12. 2nd most common armor roll value was 11, combined with 10, it was the most common result among all values. Can't really do much in those kinds of numbers, but luckily for me only one SI, and one death, a goblin, so we press on.
2. Turn One Pitch Invasion Management
We started with 3 stunned: 2 Bobs, and 1 Goblin. One of the Bobs was on the LOS, which meant I couldn't do my usual conga line blocks setting up the foul in the gap. Instead, I had one block, and a blitz, with 1 knock down. I elected to pick the ball up from there and failed to do so. The following turn my opponent based up aggressively, very rightly so. My second turn I was able to put a string of blocks together to isolate his troll behind my LOS, and had a chance at a foul. I based with the carried and needed to a roll a 5 or more, and I rolled a 4. Looking back at it, I definitely would've done it again. I don't know that it was tactically the most sound concept, but it is such a high reward play when we were already behind that I like it, and it's what we do as Black Orcs. The chance that that troll is removed and we have a clean cage, and we're looking very solid.
3. Scrum Fight
Had a very good scrum fight after we ended up losing the ball in the troll fiasco, but I think I played it well. We likely would've prevented the score if we hadn't had a our troll go stupid at a very poor time. We had a final chance with 1D on the ball, but couldn't bring him down. Really a good opportunity to try and work through complex cages.
4. Second Half, Nearly Pitch Cleared
Snowball set in after the first few removals, and we didn't recover after. Attempted a few goblin blitzes, but it was for not. Punted the ball to end the half to prevent my opponent from scoring again, and that was a positive. ”
