Although Nuffle provided us with many riches in the form of early removal, we were unable to convert.
A very silly mistake in T6 cost us the opportunity for a score. GFI Mummy block, which skulled (no block skill on this one). The better candidate move would have been not to block, just to sit and mark. Silly, greedy, costly. It was this moment.
My opponent is excellent and I have known him from podcasts. A kind coach who gives me advices, but also a brutal one who engages heavily with the orcs. I am very impressed with his development, taking the break tackle on MB tackle blitzer. It dodges like the elf, and hits like a sledgehammer into my poor ghouls.
2nd half I hang my head, and make further mistakes. He cages brilliantly, leaves me sideline Big Orc bait to which I fall into trap, attempt to blitz and foul. I am out smarted, out manoeuvred, and out positioned by my opponent as he hugs sideline with force.
Coach Nautical does give me advice that I shifted too far that way with my players, specifically strong mummy piece, which gives him opportunity to exploit. In this regard for positioning, I must improve. We are not the skaven or elves or underworld.
Learnings:
1) Greed will sink the game. There was opportunity T6, but silly greed was incorrect, cost / benefit analysis was poor, risk assessment way off the mark.
2) Central position for slow, high strength piece, do not shift them too far to sidelines.
Findings:
1) Blocking order, analysis much better (erm.. T6 is not included.. haha) and was able to generate some nice position as a result.
2) Ball protection was much better, no silly exposure to a sack.
3) For Christmas I would like the Orc team with some blitzer to have break tackle. It is impressive. ”
