A game of incredible luck. Nuffle did want a brawl, with many blocks and pows.

Once again, we are out bashed and bruised by the gnome team. They generate more blocks and more casualties. They are not stunty team, they really are a bash team in disguise.

However, the fearsome trees cause only 3 casualties from the 23 blocks they inflict. Not their best outing, but fearsome nevertheless. I do feed them the zombies, as I fear they will advance into my better players.

Some unlucky dodges and dice on sack attempts could well have turned the tide against the undead. In the end, the recovery game was successful and permanent damage limited. To the Grotty Tourn we will go.

Learnings:

1) My opponent skills his team beautifully. The trees are a work of art. I think it is correct to feed them zombie, but it could easily end in tears.

2) My defence set up was terrible. I try the offset, but my skilled opponent is too smart, and sees excellent opportunity to remove my biggest threat player.

3) Engage the gnomes 'seems' a good strategy, but even still we must be careful of their numbers, and their guard.

Findings:

1) Standard set ups are often best, at least for this coach.

2) Eliminate bomber is good priority. We were lucky today, but it is best practice.

3) Slowly, we learn to move around trees, but must always be wary and stay vigilant. They can casue damage and change the course of the game.

*POST*

We are sad to learn of the death of Evergreen, so soon after playing. What a tree, what a legend of the Blood Bowl pitch. RIP

#6 Secret Potato – Serious Injury (NI)
#90 Cindy Piewhistle – Seriously Hurt (MNG)
Thanks for the kind words about Evergreen. We are saddened to see her fall. Willow is debatin a complete retirement because of the depression she is in. The major problem is our funds are so low from replacing gnomes that we cant even afford a replacement rookie tree to start trainning for another game or 2.
