“Nuffle felt kind and gentle today, punishing only hubris to any elf showing off agility.
Orcs did 52 blocks, 16 with MB, and.... no casualties. This is the 2nd game in a row no casualties caused either side. There will soon be a deluge of blood.
Even the fouls with large assists went without injury. However, my poor opponent, some critical elf dodges did result in tragedy and loss of life and limb.
The elves did threaten to quickly turn the game on its head with some exciting plays, however they did not materialise, with poor dice at the critical times.
Learnings:
1) A little 1db opening, to a Wardancer, can (and nearly did) result in an influx of elves into the backline. Keep D-Line tighter to prevent.
2) Play for position first and foremost, removal later.
3) Take space when available. T2 I had opportunity to take space 'trash compactor' style but did not. Elf dodges and columns followed soon after.
Findings:
1) Must find better way to deal with elven offset LOS. Will research.
2) Must look to base elves 'hamburger' style when knocked down, so they cannot get up and re position so well.
Thank you Coach Logangrimnar for the game. I wish you and your Wardancers many successful cage dives and ball sacks in the future. ”
