Coach Edwin gave me many puzzles to ponder upon. These are my most favourite games- sitting opposite a masterful coach and watching their turns unfold.
An early chip by the way of a foul action (courtesy of Nuffle prayer bribe) did allow us a little advantage. The poor Orc armour did not hold up as well as ours today, and this did influence the game.
Over 100 blocks made in the game. Wonderful for the bash enthusiasts. The skulls also came to us both. And Coach Edwin applied excellent defensive pressure after the dwarf did fail a routine block in T2. This forced an early score, and Coach Edwin equalised before half time in marvellous fashion.
In the end the Chorf wins war of attrition, and is able to take advantage.
Learnings:
1) 3-turn touchdown defence... perhaps chevron is better? I think it a better candidate for set up, especially with slower dwarves.
2) Fear consumes us all, for me it was the fear of early score. This resulted in a masterful sack by my opponent, which left me with a 44% play to score. Luckily, Nuffle allowed it, today...”
