1. Tomb Kings S5
Plan was to try and tie up the guardians and it worked well for the most part. Also forced us to make quite a few 1Ds, but I think against these guys that is just going to happen. Also had to take a few -2D for the same reason, and we were lucky that we also came out on top of them.
2. Offensive Drive Failure
With the numbers advantage we should've had a very secure offensive drive, but I did not correctly deal with the LOS. I needed to blitz one of the assists off on the edge, then put a guard piece in, and I would've at least started with 2D block. Instead I rolled 3 1D skulls on my turn 1 of the 2nd half. Committing to the LOS was likely a mistake. Something I'll need to review. After these blocking failures we were forced into very bad situations that we were luckily able to get out of.
3. 66 to 46 Blocks
Our opponent threw a ton more blocks than us and likely that is because of the marking of guardians in many cases. Also he was not worried about the unskilled 1Ds at all, and most worked out for him. Looking at these numbers I wonder about the aggressive marking. I think that in most cases we're in the right. Forcing unskilled 1D blocks is the name of the game for what we're doing in most cases. The guardians is something that just has to be done. ”
