“An epic match, worthy of a RRR Final.

Adversity, and the touch of Nuffle, was felt by both coaches. A rough kick off for Undead, and great pressure by Necro, opened the match.

Then Nuffle's skulls came upon the Necro, as well as some key KO removals, to make the offensive drive relatively smooth sailing.

The Great Coach MiniMorg, as befits his status as a Giant of the game, was ruthless. The 2nd half saw us suffer many removals, and despite an opportunity to pressure the ball early, MiniMorg manoeuvred magnificently, screening and caging to bypass our defences.

With some difficulty, we were able to place our tackle wight next to the ball carrier ghoul on the critical turn. This was the turning point, as the ghoul tripped on the dodge out to score.

Learnings:

1) My opponent respected the 'keep ball safe' rule, and always had options to cage and protect. Marvellous play to emulate.

2) Press or not to press? We nearly had our pants pulled down and had to back track heavily.

3) Foul was sent off, but a good short term trade.

4) Large bench was useful this game, although with just 6 left on the pitch (5 removals in 2nd half...) the overtime was looking most difficult.
