“Probably the most hilarious game of Blood Bowl I have EVER played. Funny thing was that the bad luck did not focus on blocking, or ball handling, or dodging, like it usually does. Instead, EVERY action just uniformly failed over half the time. Actually, I would like to play sometime with the luck SET at around the 40-45 level, as it kind of forced me to not rely on rolling dice except where necessary. Two things kept me from being reduced to a pile of gibbering goo. First, noone was injured. Second, it was bad in an Evil Dead I kind of way - so bad, it's good...
At any rate, Shub-Niggurath II managed to survive her first game, which will hopefully continue. Shantak was named MVP, which he earned for heroically being KO'd for most of the match, and then BH'ing himself on a failed dodge. Definitely MVP material. My MVP nod goes to... me, for not even wanting to throw my computer out the window.
FF went down, but who can really blame the fans after that debacle? On the other hand, winnings were the highest in ten games, a welcome change for the better.
Peke was a really good sport about the whole thing, and did not take undue advantage, unless you count scoring on me a bunch =-D
He was very fun to chat with, and a good coach to boot. He played the run, and had he put the ball in the air more often he would have beat me a lot worse than he did. I definitely intend to play him again, hopefully when Nuffle has some time to help me out a bit.
