Planting the tree in the infirmary on turn 1 surely helped, plus it paved the way to a blitz on the Ag5 that luckily went into the KOs box. From there, it was a desperate attempt to cope with Mv7 and the elves nearly made it.
Nuffle blessed the removals of the ruinous power and they marched into the endzone twice.
