“A very tough match against my old foe, the Dark Elves.
I am very nearly convinced I must try them at some stage soon, if not just to understand them better. Although I am sure I would never be able to achieve this success.
I made a terrible mistake early on- in fact several.
We lose one of our players early due to making a foul and being sent off. Silly mistake, and puts us on the back foot immediately.
We then attempt to create a cage, but do not find the push we need. As a result we leave 1d (or possibly 2d if re roll used, but it was not necessary). Our carrier is POW, KO, ball scatters to be picked up by elf, which dodges away behind a screen.
From here we cannot get to ball and game is beyond us. We absorb much punishment and are bashed from the pitch, forcing us to take a conservative approach to attempt to preserve team.
What to do against such a well oiled machine, coached by a much more experienced opponent? I am unsure. Protect ball better, of course.
Good luck for the rest of the tournament Coach Wynter.”
