It is never a good feeling to end up on a winning score due to dice. Perhaps second only to the feeling of being on the other side of the score.
The Khorne found many pows and pow pushes, and the poor gnomes and trees found many 1s and failed dodges, despite dodge skill and re-rolls.
My opponent sees many excellent sacking opportunities, executing at times, but more often failing due to Nuffle's perverse will.
The vision and coaching skill was against me, but the dice and luck stayed on the side of Khorne. Enough said.
What can we learn?
1. TARGET
Our targets for hitting were the foxes and guards. The foxes proved to be resilient and we could not remove many, although I think it is the right plan with some block pieces.
2. TREES
We attempted to take trees out of game via marking with AV10. The rooting activations did help us along the way. I think it correct.
3. TACKLE ZONES
Now I know the stunty ignores this, but having multiple zones forces multiple dodges. This did help, although it could not prevent a sack in T4 after 8 successful gnome dodges. Must pay more attention to it.
Also, Turn 5 there was 1db allowed on ball (once again, after successful fox dodges into assist), however we surfed a guard instead of protecting better so no assist could be provided. A trade off, but am sure I could protect better. My opponent was unlucky there once again- ball would be sacked on a 4+.”
