“It was nice to play against the legendary Coach vradipous, although not against his Skaven.
Our long, long, losing streak continues, and our decline in coaching persists. What can we learn?
The general comment was that my positioning, especially on defence, was poor. I do wonder what I could have done differently?
1. TROLL
Need to have someone next to it to make it a 2+ to activate. Lesson learned, but even the 2+ didn't work too well. I am not skilled enough for this team, and this build in particular.
2. GFI
Well, don't do them unless critical. We lost players because of them. More caution required. And probably better positioning to ensure they are not required.
3. 1db
Well, don't do them, especially if without block skill. We failed them consistently and our position deteriorated, or our re-rolls burned.
My opponent does the following:
1. SCREEN
Excellent screening of the ball. The Norse would swing one way to wide zone, committing three players to 2db my edge. They would then do the same the other way, all the while screening the ball and threatening both edges.
2. PATIENT PRESSURE
There were opportunities to rush in and destroy my offence, but a slow pressure did the job safely. Smart and threatening positioning, ready to act the next turn.
What did I do well? There is nothing I can find unfortunately. A sad state, but there are still things I can learn from the game.
