Th coach Valen always shows me new styles of play. Ultra aggressive on both attack and defence.
It is another loss in our massive decline in form. In an effort to improve we are looking for something to learn from, and also find something we did well.
LEARNINGS:
1. SAFETY
We left the back of our offence open. The first time, we did not see coming. The 2nd time, it required GFI and 1db, but it is still found. So, if there is ANY chance of sack, it must be eliminated.
2. PRESSURE
The Dwarves base us heavily. I have been taught not to do this, but it burned all our re rolls on failed blocks. We made 76 blocks in 16 turns which must be a record for us. I still don't know if I should try this tactic, but it did work for my opponent.
WE DID WELL
Hmmm, not much...
I don't think I did anything well. Coach Valen did a 2 turn score on us, which we could not defend. Also we could not score in 14 turns. We should protect better, and maybe Chevron defence against the quick score. I am puzzled.
We are used to being outplayed by superior coaches, but from the moment coach Valen started T1 we were outplayed. Marvellous to watch, and hopefully we can learn from it on the receiving end.”
