I think khorne is really tough when the ball is kicked deep. I tried my best to get up there first half, but when I lost 2 players early I was constantly on the back foot trying to pull off something dumb. Im tempted to start 4 in the back instead of 3 next time. Maybe I just need more safeties in the beginning?
At one point I couldve blocked a mummy down, then recovered the ball, and attempted some rushes to try to get a score. But I took the push instead hoping my khorne warrior would frenzy next to him and tag him. This was a mistake - banking on success instead of failure. Gonna do less of that next time.
Second half, I was almost positive I was doomed, down 3 players and another by Turn 2 I think (or 3). So I spent the entire second half rolling uphill dice, dodging with khorne warriors, rolling tons of rushes. But my garbage plays paid off in defense, while my opponent gifted me a few bad blocks.
Interesting things that change the dynamic of the game:
Each time the ball bounced, one of our players caught it. Sometimes they already went. But it definitely stopped that "ball sack/recovery" turn.
I rolled more than double my opps rushes, and failed 3/12 - thats not bad, basically 1 above average. Still my opponents do not fail rushes.
On single die, I never rolled a 5. What a weird stat!
Knine is a ton of fun to play and a great coach. ”
