Forst half I kicked. Opp had a decent set up. I took advantage of a small misplacement BUT I put basically everything on that block. If it didnt go well, it wouldve been uphill. But things went well.
The undead got restless when I popped the ball as I ended the first drive with 4 players on the pitch.
However - in this crazy game we play - all KOs were successful. So 8 V 8 and no ghouls to worry about.
Im a little frustrated in my offense because when I shifted sides I miscounted. I shouldve went back one more square. The 3 plus dodge almost spelled doom. And then the lizard got restless and started tearing down some zombies.
After abusing the M8 speed, I secured a TD with a few turns to go. Its kind of why I dont like shambling undead - M3 mummies are cool but man theyre slow. Cloggem up for a bit and theyre planted in that spot. Knockem down and they have to rush to blitz when they get back up.
Takeaways
- Count on my opp making the 3 plus dodge and set up a little more protective on the offense.
- taking advantage of the blitz on the offense worked - I think it was the right play even if it HAD to go right to stop the score
- Lizards can be fragile, lot of removal. But I think basing the mummies at times was necessary for positioning.
Sneaked a win out of this, Thanks for the game Bucky and great to meet you!”
