“Needed to take a small step back on this loss. I feel like it was always in reach to win, and then right at the moment I needed (or didnt need my opponent to roll something) it just never went my way.
First half I drove down. I managed to do like a loose side screen with skinks and a saurus. Eventually the rest of the saurus caught up and bogged down the middle. T8 score followed by my opp that was a catch away from a possible OTTD.
Second half I sacked the ball twice and forced an early score. I thought things were looking up. I set up and had a few turns. I eventually kind of had that same side screen. On my T7 I set up a screen for what looked like would be a skink TD. BUT I failed a 3 plus RR to complete the screen. Opp then picked up the ball in a TX, 2 rushes, a dodge, I think a single RR used - passed on a 5, caught, TD. No matter what skink I dodge with, it wouldve failed. I think I made the right choices and just wrong dice.
I set up for a OTTD. I needed a single 2 diblock before I needed to stunty dodge and rush fo a TD AAAAnd 2 skulls to complete snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
I feel like anytime I match up to someone of Legend status, they cant fail anything important. Just a feeling though, itll go away. Just really bummed after this one. I actually played a decent game and took a lot of lessons from before into account. It was paying off until fumbbl decided my opp isnt allowed to fail anything. So discouraging BUT that is the game we agree to play.
Takeaways:
- skinks are really good. They can do just about whatever they want until they fail a dodge.
- 2 ball sacks and an early forced TD so I think my defense was where it needed to be.
- The krox I think activated 4 times the whole game.
- Opp fouled every turn until T4 of the seocnd half and was never caught. I fouled T1 and 2, was caught both times, successfully argued the first one and had to use the bribe on the second.
Great opp, would def play again. ”
