First half I tried the column defense. I was down a player in each of my first 3 turns due to successful fouls (not even DP). My opp had a realyl cool push with my guys off the pitch but it's easy to manipulate the field like that when I have 6 off the pitch.
I tried a 1 turn, and I set it up right, but I rolled BD/BD on the initial block. I was hoping I couldve gotten some of my opps push BD magic - it was like 6-7 in a row without RRs to surf players.
Second half, opp gets a blitz and things go very downhill very fast. I cant position well because hes right on the ball. Im trying to dodge away or do something but, I failed 3 plus RRs all day long. In a single turn he injured 3-4 skinks.
I elected to concede with 5 players left on the pitch and 4 serious injuries to contend with.
This the most depressing game Ive ever played. I was hoping with all of the practice I had gotten in id be able to do something - maybe show a little progress. But I dont think anyone can even put up a fight when your opp:
- Fouls every turn, never gets caught, removes on EVERY foul
- Receives every kickoff result in their favor
Takeaways:
- I liked the caked wall that slowly encroached. He tagged a few players and it was fine. I might try that at some point.
- Concession exists for a reason, because youd liek to have some semblance of a team to play another game with in incredibly dice tilted games like this one.
- Every time I play artemis I learn something new which is cool. So even in stupidly one sided games like this, im grateful theres something to take hom and think about.
- Also every time I play Artemis, he gets legendary dice and I get terrible dice. This is not a complaint - so far it is a statement of fact. I hope one day to be on the other side of those dice.”
