Cost blood again though, second match in a row we've ended with a 7's team or less. In attack the Witch risked a wild solo run into the deep field but was smashed down.
First half went alright. I knew he was probably going to tag the cage. But I made sure my higher st guys were being tagged. I led with the B/MB piece for a majority of the game and he finally heated up towards the last few turns of the game.
H1 turn 6 I think was absolutely dreadful. I needed some positioning and had some easy die rolls to make, ended up blowing the entire RR reserve and then failed on a BD/BD to seal it. No score thankfully. I had a 5 plus hand off and 4 plus dodge to maybe get one at the end.
2nd half I was up players. And the removal started stacking along with this. I spent a majority of the game tagging elves and hoping they would fail some dodges or rushes. But mainly I focused on defending because I just dont have the MA to come back once I leave the backfield undefended.
Takeaways:
- I liked keeping 2 safeties. It forced a cage and made switching to one side or the other less of an option.
- I had to decide block MB or block/sure hands and im glad I chose violence.
- I know going down the side was no optimal. Its just hard not to when thats the weaker of the lanes open sometimes.
- Nurgle is tough but knock on wood or whatever lawn gnome give me lucky power early with 3-1-0 - Best start so far with any team in the box.
I almost fell into commenting about dice but opp was nice and didnt deserve my one liner before I came back down to Earth. Appreciate you friend. ”
