“First half was kind of what I expected. I thought I would flounder around in the backfield and the LOS, try to make the elves fail a dodge or something. I managed to pressure them to score on T6.
T7 I got a really lucky throw teammate - the first one for the team. Things were looking up since I also have more players atm.
Second half, I led my team in a seried of 2 different cages, went from one to the next. Then I spread out a screen and place my player in the back with the ball. Opp made a dodge from a TZ, 2 rushes, and a single die pow. Then the thrower dodged through 1-2 TZ multiple times - no RR needed, and picked up the ball.
I knew dump off was there so I tagged as many elves as possible including the thrower. The throw was wildly inaccurate but it went out of bounds and the crowd threw it to 2 elves on an island by themselves on the other side of the screen. I managed managed to pop it loose again. I had 2 turns so I took a chance at a wacky dodge and long pass from a lino and it flubbed off the pitch and once again, in the direction of the elves.
Most unlucky fumbbl player ever, losing another game. But lets learn - its the only way to cope with consistently awful dice.
Takeaways:
- Had a key snake on big guys that allowed the elves to break free in the first half. But I think I still liked having them on the line.
- I thought I counted the delf in the backfield but I didnt see the other blitzer. I maybe should have positioned one more square forward? I know I was counting the witch too - not really sure on this one.
- Of 40 single dice rolled, opp rolled a grand total of 2 1s. If you wanna roll very well, just find me on blackbox - you wont be disappointed.
- Renegades are awful. When this season is over, never again. EVER.
Opp was a great coach, good elf player. Good job on the win, would play again. ”
