first game trying to buckle down hard on patience! slow grind up the field for most of first half over getting too excited about gaps to be shot. (not like gaps were left to be shot, but...) nurgle v. nurgle was probably a good matchup for that. wasn't really sure what to do once getting there, but pushing the line until i couldn't was a good exercise. :) goats hopping in and out to chip away at the beplagued horde was eventually enough to foil plans.
still don't know how to defend and refuse to learn. leaning into guaranteeing points scored > points unscored being a successful general strategy. (it is not successful, generally.)
me 3 pestigor < woj 4 pestigor. goat deficiency clearly the leading cause of my inability to overcome opponent's incredible coaching. with more goats, perhaps next time will be different.......................

First half was nurgle staring at nurgle for a few turns, each of us hoping one or the other would be the first to move into tagging. We tried to snipe a few players while we stared... the goats who stare at men.Then my opp tagged a few players, probably trying to bait me into following up. After a few KOs and players down, I based as is inevitable. I popped the ball loose with some successful rushes - first time almost it feels like. No score.
Second half my opp threw some columns up. But my team was fairly spread out. I eventually based my bigger guys to his smaller and led a cage down one side of the field for a score. Nothing too crazy here. The turn right before I scored, I was forced to due to KO removal. With only 3 turns left and a deep kick, my opps retaliation was defended successfully.
Takeaways:
- As frustrating as all my other games have been, this one went my way. Gonna truly enjoy the moment.
- MB/B beastman is so good and IM glad I didnt go sure hands first. Even if he doesnt remove, he threatens.
- Zombie Beanbelly makes his inaugural debut and KOs 3 players with fouling. Lets hope this guys, raised from the wire recently, continues his streak. He is currently less than 1 years old.
