A labyrinth of a game, with many twists and turns leading to dead ends. Blitzkrieg escaped with this one, but it was not easy.
MB Orcs could not whittle numbers down, Bonehead Ogres missed a few blitzes which would have helped their cause.
T4 2nd half Ogre fails a 50% pick up. If the Ogre takes the ball, it is a touchdown. Unlucky for them.
T6 2nd half Ogre boneheads the TTM. They would score from there. Unlucky again for them.
Snotling survives 12 dice from block blitzer. IronSnot!
Orc then makes a 61% play, dodging, picking up, double GFI to score. Sensational.
Learnings
1. BONEHEAD
Critical bonehead blitz fail in T2 helped us to advance up field after a tricky pick up and ball security.
2. MB FAKE SKILL
We were low on blocks this game, only 9 with our MB players targeting snots, and another 5 with our tackle player on the snots, but only 1 CAS from them. Fake skill!
3. FOUL
A great foul from coach AnOverdose gets rid of our big blocker. It was a great shot, which came about from big being on ground after unsuccessful dodge. This is blood bowl. Nothing to do to protect here. Sacrifice the orc.
4. SURF ATTEMPT
We had a shot at a surf attempt. Would have required a 1db to finish it off, which was still 97% safe with re roll. Would have attempted to the end if dice had found pushes. Fun.
Summary
A lucky escape. We need more tools to deal with these kinds of matchups, It could very easily have gone the other way.”
