“Woj Nurgle continues to impress - such a weird team to do this since evert other team I tried so far this blackbox has been a season of failure. BUT failure allows for teachable moments :). We got a win out of this after my opps dice ran out of mojo in the second half.

First half I received and we kiled a dwarf off the bat. Pretty cool. But thats about all that was cool. I was too scrummed up with the guard dwarves to make a screen or a cage. I eventually tried to force my way through, planning for an inevitable sack. I picked up the ball to recover and failed an important dodge to get me home. The dwarves almost scored in return but I rushed some players down there to stop them.

Heat took away 1 player so I was up 1. But it didnt feel that way with all the guard/MB. Nonetheless, opp received and ran hi runner down T4 or so I think? I cant remember - I applied a lot of pressure after a dub skull fail.

I picked up the ball on T5 I think and I had enough turns to run it down for a score as every open die roll for my opp from than on was a failure - skull, failed dodge, etc. Ive had many games on that end so when im not there getting diced, Im just gonna br grateful.

1-0 win with one game to go for Woj Nurgle.

Takeaways:

- Having the team trimmed down is paying off substantially. Ive said it before, and im gonna keep saying it, so I dont forget. Box teams need to be skeleton crews.

- Opp had some impressive dodge and rush rolls that made it look like he would score. But then the dice petered out. I guess sit took a lot to get there so at some point they decided to fail? I dunno - I dont enjoy other coaches rolling badly - but I also dont mind it when im their opponent.

Opp was frustrated at the end, but overall, it was a good game. Would gladly play again. ”
