First half I kicked. My snots on the LoS survived, I think 1 KO maybe? Cant remember. But it was a deep kick and the opp snot flubbed the first one. So I did what any good ogre coach does and tossed one down there. He didnt land, but he survived and terrorized the area with the ball long enough for the rest of my team to get down there. After a timely block removal of an opp ogre, and a fouling of another one, I managed to take it and score. There was a pick up in 1 EZ but I had the RR saved for it.
2nd half, opps KO rolls were not favorable - 4 ogres to my 5, and not even a full bench to start. But, how about a deep kick and a crowd to stun 3 of my ogres to start with? Now his ogres were rushing downfield to pressure me. And they definitely did. I formed one cage, hed tag it. Id run to another cage, hed tag it - makes sense and good strategy. I ran away however, and ended up scoring. Opps TTM was stopped by a failed catch on the hand off.
A good ogressive ogre win ogre the ogres.
Takeaways:
- Refusing to level snots has worked wonders. For most of their skills, its not worth it. Id rather have anough inducements for riotous rookies.
- I may allow a snot to choose DP if he gets that many points.
- MNG on my leader runt punter BUT, still have 3 RRs and 4 ogres for the next game. I'll make up for it with inducements hopefully.
- Having the 2 block ogres versus a few with guard did well but mostly because he was forced to play zone due to the kick and flubbed pickup, and I could put those ogres on an island - on FOUL ISLAND.
Great game as always with the Claeus. ”
