Well it wasnt a 5-0 blowout like the last time I played Artemis. I suppose thats a step in the right direction.

First half I kicked. My opp deployed the dakka offense. Ive read a bit about this so I followed it this time and pressured it, while keeping some players back. I made sure to pressure the 3 plus ag rats with higher STR pieces. When he circled to the bottm to break through, I got in front of it and then tagged all the players - making sure to keep some in the middle. Its tough playing a zone defense with blorks, each MA 4 is basically stuck in its zone. I managed to pop the ball loose on a gobin cage dive and it landed in a good spot. I almost secured it. But opp succeeded 3 1 die blocks (all pows) to take the ball again. Ive gorwn to get used to this - legend status in this platform just always gets these die rolls to work on these turns. After some pressure, he scored on T8. I attempted a OTTD and flubbed the pass.

I received, ball kicked deep, and flubbed the pickup on a RR. Rats swarmed easily, picked it up, and scored. I tried a OTTD on my next turn because if I was going to try to stay in the game, it had to be a quick score followed by the dice finally catching up to my opp on the next drive. But no such luck. I faield several rushes for key blitzes. Another loss for these bois.

Takeaways:

- Artemis is an impressive coach, just trying to learn when I watch him. I like the close skaven defense, like theyre all ready for me to flub another easy die roll which makes sense - I guess hes not afraid of offensive shift where I get a square on him? Which makes sense because its one roll of the KO table.

- Opp 100% on rushes - and im the only penalized for them - again. This is getting old fumbbl.

- Of 33 2D6 for AV break, close to half of them for me were 6 or less. I have incredibly bad luck on this platform.

- I think my dakka defense worked well - I figured it was just about making my opp roll dice in the hopes of failure. I was ready for a 1-1 draw at best with blorks especially.

- I positioned offense pretty close to the line because I knew I couldnt deal with a blitz if it happened. But with the flubbed pickup in the back I dunno, should I just deploy everyone but the 3 on the LOS mid to back field form now on versus skaven?

Good win for Artemis. Anytime I play someone of legend status, its another punch in the teeth. Just gotta get up, learn, and try again.
