“Its a legacy zon team, combined with the 2 new blitzers. Lucky to get out with only 0-1 loss.
First half I received. Kick was deep. I maintained a cage and little bit of a screen for a while. Things looked pretty good when I took out a player early, and then both his DPs got banned - my only luck in this match really. I probably could have pushed forward T5, but I didnt see an opening. Right when I needed the troll to just push the player out of the way so I could crowd push players off the BC, dub skull - fail loner. At one point, I enveloped his line but he made like a series of 4 plus, 3 plus dodges - no fails - to tie everything down.
Second half, he set up with 9 players which WOULD be an advantage. But Im dealing with 2 or 3 legacy blodgers with skills PLUS the 2 new str 4 pieces. Its just gross. I tried to pressure. Another deep kick and a time out to hurt things even more. Failed a few die rolls but it didn't feel like I had a chance with this build.
Takeaways:
- I dont know what to do when its a deep kick. I send so many turns moving forward and creating a screen or a cage that I run out of turns to do anything later on in the turn.
- I continue my streak of terrible games. All I can do is learn form them and try again.
Stats are janky:
- of 11 3 plus dodges and 3 4 plus dodges, he failed a single 4 plus dodge. When xzon can reposition at will, regardless of defensive positioning, scoring feel like wishful thinking.
- Of 20 blocks, I rolled a grand total of 3 injury rolls. Given tackle and MB on the team, this was statistically rubbish.
- Opp rolled a single 1 on single D6s. I'll have what hes havin.
Great coach but certainly no fun playing against legacy teams in the box. Im trying to practice for tabeltop tournaments and the lessons apply less against made-up teams. ”
