No harm, no foul...
Not quite, but we knew what was coming for us when we faced the Asylum, the soon-to-be greatest fouling team of all time in the SWL.
From the get go, bombs take out a mummy and our tackle wight, tackle troll blocks our blodge ghoul, and dirty foul on same ghoul...
We were lucky not to have more removals, with MB and Dirty Player making it just 1 away from leaving the pitch in a casket.
Learnings
1. SET UP
We chevron, trying to spread out, but perhaps a withdrawn boat is better, when we defend first.
It would have been a great coin flip to win and receive. The chevron did allow bombs to land, and trolls to chose their blitz target. Think on this.
2. RE ROLLS
We were a little cavalier with our re rolls.
1st: failed ghoul dodge (tackle troll..) but fear of failed dodge death, or impending foul death, was great.
2nd: pick up ball in tackle zone. Still OK I think, as it was then secured by blodger. Lucky bounce.
3rd: failed zombie block... not sure on this one. Didn't work out as he 1/9 back to back (is that a 1/18??). Probs should have ate it.
Summary
Gillmeister was particularly lucky to survive being picked on, blocked on, fouled on.
In fact, we all were. 23 Goblin MB hits (1 CAS) and 24 Undead MB hits (0 CAS) did not give the fans much to cheer about.
We shall save our CAS for the Amazons... And our TV remains bloated. Some trimming to come in our future I am sure.
Highlight was the CAS foul on our dirty zombie fouler. You reap what you sow.
Well done Coach MRCushtie on adding the Zombie CAS to your trophy cabinet. We have had a ghoul die from rush, dodge fail, block, and bomb. But not a foul yet. Until next we meet. ”
