Crazy game, and one that slipped away from us quickly.

Preparation was poor. This is a new team for us, the 2nd time we are trying Tomb Kings, our 2nd game after a previous RRR loss.

Normally I would like to understand how to set them up and use them better. Must remember this for next time, and have a plan going in.

Learnings:


1. FRAGILE

I found the Tomb Kings to be quite fragile. We did suffer 72 blocks, so with that in mind the 6 CAS is not all that surprising I suppose.

So.. maybe not? Just poor coaching leaving them in contact? We lost a Guardian in T2, then another in T8, so the snowball was rolling perhaps...


2. CONTACT

We left too many dwarves in contact, not pushing away. They are dwarves, and can 1db. Not smart, not clean.

We learned the hard way, Guardian CAS off a 1db. We left him there to mark and create more blocks for us. Backfired. Play better.


3... DB

Why not try some 3db? At least on the LOS we could have done this, although we found it tougher thereafter.

I think we did not play our opening 1-2 turns well, combined with Java asphyxiating us early on. Room to improve.


Summary:

Fun game in a way. We got to do stuff and try crazy things as the pressure was off. Game was gone quite early on. Nearly got pitch cleared, which is also something you don't see every day.

Will try these guys again, perhaps in BBT.

We kept all turns under 4 min which is the 4th game in a row... Just one more and we achieve a season goal.
