“First report ever, hope it goes well.
I chose to def first, I always does to have full team to def unless i already have my full bench.
__________1st Half__________
Placement : they have ST4 players so no vamps on LoS, and we protect the 5 remaining ST3 players behind a boat.
Solid defence : I move up both throwers and 2 thralls on the LoS to make blocking harder, should i have put the vamps on the side to force a jaguar blitz ?
Turn 1 : My opponent flee the fight with early dodges, blitz a thrall and then closeits arrow and pick the ball.
Turn 1b: I chose to put pressure on ball carrier, probably my first mistake, should have play a slow def to try dealing some damages on Zons. I pushed 3 playes on their half and it was either too few or too much.
Turn 2: I’m lucky, my vamps stay standing, my opponent does a weak screen to protect its carrier.
Turn 2b: 2db on the carrier, time to counter-attack ! Carrier still stands ! 2 Bloodlust, 1 thrall out, might have RR the second one to have more pressure on the carrier. I was too confident withmy weak position.
Turn 3 : He cages properly.
Turn 3b: 2db on the carrier after a gaze, zon down, bounce is fine, ball is on the floor and i put a lot of tackle zone on it.
Turn 4 : 2db on my runner, casualty, ouch ! 2db on my thrower, stunned, ouch ! bounce on jaguar, catch successful. it was the turn of the drive. 2db on thrall, stunned too. 2db on another thrall, prone. 2db on another thrall, prone again. Was a very high rolled turn from my opponent, but it was not hard either. (5 successful 2db on 5, with 3 armour break and 1 casualty)
Turn 4b: only 6 players to move, and the zons are fine with a caged ST4 carrier. I try to reduce its movement by sticking the cage.
Turn 5 : Three 2db, third one on my other runner, success knocked out, 3 players down. But he fails the catch to be out of position, there is still hope.
Turn 5b : I don’t understand what i did. I should have made dodges, to put tackle zones on the ball. Big mistake on my side.
Turn 6 : he secures I won’t have the ball, and then put my remaining players out of action, he has 6 players on attack, i have 2 on defense, i could had 4-5 players.
Turn 7b : desperate 2db on carrier with Bloodlusted blitzer, Zon down, knocked out ! great ! ball is out, and come back, in the middle pack. Hope again !
Turn 8 : Lucky 4+ 4+ pick-up hands-on the ball to the Zon nearest my TD line. Followed by smart moves from my opponent to push the Zon at scoring position. Overall it was a 4+ 4+ 2db push 3+(dodge) 2+ 2+ and he even put more rolls to try to do more damage. GG
Turn 8b : Runners are back, Zon still KO’d, 10 vs 10, let’s try the 1TTD, …,solid defence, that’s all folks ! Let’s try dealing damages : 6 2db, only 1 down, stunned.
__________2nd Half__________
T1: Ball is out, so my vamp gets it. 2 Bloodlust stuns 2 thralls, I have my answer for this team name, 5 is too much, there will be too many turns with 2 BL fails, it is easier and more comfortable with only 4 vamps on field. I will have 4 vamps on field as soon as next match, but it will be with only 3RR. I prefer to wait for the 5th vamps than to wait for the 4th RR.
T2: slow play to wait for my stunned players to come back.
T3: I played poorly again, I blitzed a jaguar to the outside of my cage, I should have put her in the inside. But i have a nice cage :
T4b: My opponent does a 1db results in a casualty, ouch !
T5: time to go on offense, I do a poor cage in the middle, but i am on the good side of the field. I do a 1db which results in a stunned, great !
T5b: He gets an easy 2db on my carrier, POW, stunned, bounce on a Zon, catch successful. Second time the bounce goes the wrong side of the field, the 2 bounces results in 2 TD. I did not do well enough.
T8: I fail a rush to try a 2db on the scorer Zon.
T8B: TD 0-2 GG !
__________Conclusion__________
There were great dice rolls turns for my opponent at critical moments BUT I could have prevented them from happening. True the coin flips could have turned my side, but then I would not have been because I played well. I did provoke a coin flip on my defense, but it was just a coin flip. And I let a coin flip happened in my offense drive, and I should not have done that. ”
