“As expected, this was a very poor match where we had no chance of being competitive.
Dwarves concede early on, and there was little point in attempting. May as well lay over and present for inevitable ramming.
We look to Dwarf replays of wins over Necro in the FUMBBL library. There were only two. One was a stat freak dwarf runner, the other was a Necro concede.
Close the sidelines, get surfed. Open the sidelines, get penetrated with no way of catching up. Both these happened.
When I am of better mind I will look deeper into this game to see how the Necro do it. Coach Strangefeller is certainly in another stratosphere of coaching, and was good to see his dominance.
In the meantime, greatest learnings come from failures.
1. FLAT LINE
On offence, we perhaps should have had flat line. We are scared that we need to free people to support ball if kick is deep.
But, our corner gets blitzed and we are enveloped. Very nice work by Coach Strangefeller, and it forces us to roll poor dice and rush our offence.
2. DEFENCE
Honestly, I am lost. There is no way of stopping the score. It is just too easy. I don't know if flat line or chevron is best.
In the end, space was found up our middle, both times. And around our sides. Maybe we spread too thin.
Kudos Coach Strangefeller, deserved winner. After the opening turn it was clear the win was yours, and the dwarves had not interest in playing.
I am only sorry I did not give you a more interesting and competitive match. ”
