“I feel like TK are a great matchup versus dwarves and I definitely felt it. I had to try to make a few 2 die uphills, and those failed a little more than average in the beginning.
Usually when I play versus artemis, I just assume hes going to get a blitz on me because it happens in every game we play. It happened in our SG gauntlet right before this. So I set up max defense versus the blitz, and what do you know, blitz in the second half - glad I set up that way - I may just set up against the blitz on the regular from now on regardless of coach.
I managed to force a T5 score (couldve made it earlier if I didnt set up so close to the LOS). Then I got a turn back on the KO result. But due to the deep kick, I had to do a fluky hand off and potato run it and got properly sacked.
Opps skulls and 1/9s didnt happen until late in the second half. They gave me a window of desperation attempts that all ended in single die skulls or failed rushes to get there. I didnt expect to get those to work, those failures made sense - just wouldve been nice for once against this guy.
I know in the second half I provided surf opportunities. But it was that or let the mummies cage up. So it was a conscientious choice to allow the surfs after I put myself in a bad spot.
So I understand when I pushed on the lower end, I didnt have enough players to help out. But the issue I run into versus higher str opps is when I try to push the middle with one unit of guys, I just get out strengthed - eventually have to turn a wide screen into a cage, and then get in trouble with tagging.
I know I played this incorrectly, and my opps choices were basically flawless. I just don't know where I couldve played it better. ”
