“A nice game, and not as bad as I thought it might be with only one ball carrier.
In truth, it is difficult to find where we went wrong here, or what our biggest mistake was.
Some theories:
1. PRESSURE
We applied pressure to the ball on the ground, but it did cost us position.
Two of our three players with M6 or more were required to double base the ball, but a 22% play (44% with re-roll) to pick the ball up and dodge away came off, leaving us caught out of position.
In the end, I think the pressure was good, and we could have kept it up or saw it to a positive conclusion had Nuffle given some love.
Would do again, in a similar fashion.
2. RE ROLLS
I think they were OK. One was for failed GFI to base ball, another was for double skull block.
Could be have eaten the block fail? I think not, as we had a (successful) ball sack attempt directly after it.
However, maybe our turn ordering was off. We could have sacked ball, then tried for the other block, and not re rolled fail.
Ok, so there it is, biggest mistake of game was untidy turn ordering. It may not have made a difference, but something to think on.
We are another step closer to getting our wolf back, and lucky to take the draw. ”
