“
Crazy game, where the Norse were outsmarted and outplayed by a superior coach.
Lots of mistakes this game, so let's see if we can learn from them.
1. SURF
We spy an LOS surf, but do not get the push. Should we have used re-roll to chase it?
Recency bias influenced us, with our BBT Necro wolf RIP-ing itself with a failed re-roll to chase the surf.
I think this decision left us well out of position, and susceptible to T4, the darkest of the game...
2. SIDELINES
Sidelines are not a bad place for a frenzy team, but we did them wrong.
After the failed surf attempt in T1, we end up with two players (including Ulf) pinned on sideline and on ground. We go to rescue them.
BUT... with our blitzing Valk, we make the biggest mistake of the game- following up to create a T-Shape box.
There it is. Biggest mistake of game, which was terrifically exploited by our opponent who made a marvellous DOUBLE SURF!
This was followed by a KO, a stun, and a knock down. Brutal turn which we brought upon ourselves.
OK, that gives us plenty to work on. Manage T-Shape and chain push scenarios better, and have a care with the sidelines.
