I elected to receive. I hoped that I oculd stall long enough even with limited Saurus. But I needed to dictate the tempo and I just cant when its a deep kick and a failed pick up, coupled by a double skull or a snake dodge before I got a chance to attempt it T2.
I was happy to move arund for a bit until the pressure started to come at me. I managed a really dumb series of dodges and a hand off to a loner to get in the opps backfield. By now I have lost 2 skink, one to an opening block and another to a failed dodge.
I managed to score but gave my opp enough time to score in return. I was able to pop the ball late with a RR on a 1 die.
I think at this point Im down so many players, its really hard to analyze best plays. I dont have enough for a screen. I cant make columns. Its just blitzing and tagging and hoping some catastrophic die roll goes my way. This was basically the second half.
I finally had a chance to get a 2 die uphill on the passer and again, a another skink injury and it bounces to opps blitzer that catches it for the score next turn.
Opps injury rolls were 60% 8 or higher, and rolling only 4 1s in 32 single die - not much going for me statistically.
Tried to make it a game but came up short - just not enough to work with later in the game.
Opp played well and has a fun theme for the team. Well done. ”
