#2 Ushnar Norsebleeder – Head Injury (-AV) #12 Uram Zombiebrook – Dead (RIP)
“If fumbbl were a paid service, id be asking for my money back. lol. Opp played very well. Lets see what we can take from this.
First half I had to kick. I used that blob set up because I was thinking the werewolf might get the first hit. But he set up to assist the ghoul which is fine. I was doin alright KOing zombies. I managed to chase the ghoul and pop the ball loose late in the first half. And then a failed 1/9 killed me. Ghoul just dodged, picked it up, and scored next turn.
The only thing I think id change is that instead of that block, I should have just dodged and tried to grab the ball with the other goblin. I know the thinking was sound, hit the guy then I dont have to dodge. BUT a 3 RR is an 89 percentile so I should have chosen that, and especially considered well, what happens if this guy ISNT standing next turn?
I drove down and T4 it was looking pretty good. I had 5 goblins in the back screening the carrier. And then the wolf dodges, hits and pops the ball loose. And at this point, everything just went downhill. I hit the wolf with a goblin, just a push, no trap door activation. Wolf rushes and dodges again. I manage to dodge a blorc to blitz and fail yet again, another rush - snake on the rush.
I dont know if ill do that screen again. It protected for the most part and gave me a turn to try to recover. But it was just an easy sack after the dodge. Maybe Ill just hug the sideline next time. I dunno.
I always have to address die rolls so I dont overcorrect anything. The rushes for like a4th game in a row for me are just inexcusably awful. I should NOT be looking at 50% failure, especially when I dont think it counts when I RR a failed rush and then it succeeds. Its just stupidly awful. I know theres no ghost in the machine, theres no magical rush monster in the system - its just a bad streak at the WORST time - it had to happen when I got the blorcs to 5 wins.
It kills me that we both have the same failed dodges. I have built in stunty dodges. I should be killing this stat.
But I think the biggest dice difference here is the blocks. My 54 blocks to his 36, and we both rolled abouot the same amount of injury rolls. This is huge especially with all the MB and grab, if I cant capitalize on the teams strengths, then im always playing on the backfoot.
Just one of the most frustrating experiences sometimes is this game. I have to put this behind me and hope these dice start looking up again. Maybe that dodge and scoop the ball instead of that block i the first half was my difference between a draw and a defeat, got some skill issues to think about. But at least I see it immediately, thats a good thing.
Opp played very well and clobbered me. That damn wolf just did whatever it wanted. ”
