We have been open with the fact that we struggle with Ogres. I believe them to be a little 'OP' with S5 everywhere and 2++ dodge everywhere.
However in this game we see:
1. Multiple boneheads on Ogre blitzes. Many. No BH, Ogres defend.
2. GFI snake to 1TT.. No snake, Ogres score.
3. A snake to dodging ball carrier. No snake, Ogres penetrate and score.
4. 5 CAS, all (ALL) regen. No regen, Ogres win with 11v6.
Ogres self destruct. We were out-coached, and should have been a loss.
To try and give the necro some credit, they did apply pressure well, I think.
We used zombies as intended- gum up the lines and limit ogres (although the MB was kicking in).
Targeting snots for removal worked well. Taking silly 1db with blockless golems not so bright.
And luckily we did pick up the ball after our 3rd (4th with RR) attempt. If not, it was lights out.”
